Information for Museum Event

The Rutland Open Exhibition 2017 will be from Saturday 18 November to 5 January 2018. The Open evening will be on Friday November 17 and work can be taken into the museum on Monday 13 November.
Artists and Designer-makers (painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography (including digital), ceramic, glass, textiles and jewellery) from Rutland, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire are eligible to enter. The entries are selected and the best works are exhibited at Rutland County Museum. These are then judged and prizes awarded.
The Open evening starts at 6.00 pm for viewing the art works and meeting the artists. There will be a performance from Arts for Rutland grant beneficiaries and events supported by Arts for Rutland. This will be Chater Community Choir, Emma Farmer and Rutland Saxophone Ensemble. After the concert the High Sheriff will present the Arts for Rutland prize, the Coleman’s voucher, the Three Arts Society Trophy and the Creative Leicestershire prize. The winner of the Youth Three Arts Society prize will also be presented.
Drinks and nibbles will be available and everyone is welcome to support this exhibition and the local talented artists.
Please do come along from 6.00 pm to see all the art work and have a drink and some nibbles. We are first on the programme so we should be performing at about 6.45pm ish. Please wear you polo shirts and bring your purple folder.
